# Introduction

Give an AI agent a dedicated place to browse, use applications and work with files.

Status: Prelaunch · Management platform implemented; physical desktop service pending

## What is ComputerUse?
ComputerUse is being built as a dedicated computer rental service for AI workflows. The planned offering assigns one ThinkCentre to one customer, with a managed desktop, storage and API access. Your model provider supplies the intelligence; the computer supplies the workspace.

Our first targets are **8 GB installed RAM for browsing and automation** and **16 GB installed RAM for creator workflows**. Operating-system and management overhead reduce RAM available to applications. The final resource allocation appears in the verified inventory before a rental can be offered.

## Start here
- [Quickstart](/docs/quickstart/): run the existing management API locally.
- [Feature status](/docs/status/): distinguish implemented code from planned desktop functions.
- [Memory and storage](/docs/memory/): understand RAM, saved files and persistent agent knowledge.
- [Agent integrations](/docs/integrations/): Boardly, OpenClaw, Hermes and other API clients.

## What you can do now
The HTTPS management service is deployed at `https://api.computeruse.space`. Account registration, the host portal, administrative views and management endpoints are connected. Physical desktop control, customer rental availability and live payments remain disabled until verified. The source also includes an MCP management bridge.

## Separate your costs
A computer rental does not include unlimited AI inference. Model/API tokens, paid applications, proxies and optional storage services are separate. Set limits with the model provider as well as in your agent.
